Phasing Drawings and Collages

Public Water Studio explored how architects and designers could influence legislation regarding land use, water use, and manufacturing for public benefit. As climate issues worsen across the US in the future, the Great Lakes region is poised to become a climate refuge due to access to freshwater and colder climate. (Waste) Water Park ensures this is feasible by reinforcing infrastructure and creating more useful public space for a growing population. Private corporation’s relocating to the region for manufacturing and fulfillment would be required to partner with public entities to bolster city’s infrastructure and create usable public space. In Toledo, pools, sports fields, and water slides will intermingle with combined sewage overflow tanks, wastewater treatment, and Foxconn’s LCD manufacturing facilities.
