Posthuman Architectures seeks to analyze and speculate on forms of architecture not oriented around human use and occupation that have emerged from rapid technological advancements in autonomous robotics, artificial intelligence, and global interconnectivity through logistics and data networks. Future economic, political, and environmental conditions will require architects to design buildings that are less human-centered to the point where they may be completely devoid of human life for day-to-day operations. The project proposes a series of architectural speculations of four building typologies: Data Centers, Fulfillment Centers, Semiconductor Chip Fabs, and Greenhouses and Vertical Farms, to understand the problems, possibilities, contradictions and paradoxes of posthuman architectures.
