The tower acts as a prototype for a new way of living due to shifting socio-economic trends. Freelancing, work-from-home, and an increasing wealth gap for the middle class have created a new social class, the precariat. In the transitory period, this building allows people to cheaply live and work as labor and housing drastically change. Neighborhoods’ within the building encourage the occupants to meet each other and build relationships that normally wouldn’t be created under the typical living conditions. The building is split into three large neighborhoods, which are sub-divided into smaller neighborhoods of housing that all share common living, working, and public spaces on floor plates separate from the housing blocks.
